Core Charge Policy

​Core Charge Policy several automotive parts contain a component that is recyclable (the core). The core charge is the deposit you pay for the exchange of this component. You will receive a full refund of your core charge/deposit when you mail in the core component to Rebulders Specialty(RBS) within 31 days of your order. Or, you can elect not to pay the core charge/deposit up front if you want to mail in your core component to RBS prior to us shipping your order.
Rebuilders offers 2 options for the core charge:

1. Pay the core charge at the time of your online purchase. Your order will be processed and shipped to you. You can receive a refund of this core charge if you mail-in an acceptable core within 31 days of your purchase. Allow 3-5 days for refund processing to your original form of payment. Guidelines and requirements for mailing in a core are detailed below and in this core mail-in form.
2. Mail-in an acceptable core you already have (waive the core charge). We will ship your purchased product one the core product has been recieved. Call us for details and processing of payment to waive the core charge of the product you would like to purchase. See our CONTACT PAGE for more information. 

Requirements for mailing in a core:

• We will only accept cores for the same model year and part#
• All fluids must be drained from the core
• The core must be securely wrapped in plastic and sealed

NOT acceptable for return cores:

• Bent or missing parts
• Bent or broken core
• Disassembled core
• Damaged threads
• Rust beyond a reasonable limit determined by inspection 
• Fire damage
